We have had a wonderful week!!! Thank you for everyone who helped sell City Savers, Smartcards and Magazines.   I have challenged all of the students to try to find me at the football game tomorrow night, but I am not going to make it easy.  When they find me they might get a treat!!  Bring your children out and support our EAGLES!!!  Hope you have seen the slideshow of the students from the first day of school on the blog.

Happy Birthday to all the student's and teacher's who have had a birthday in August!!!  These students received a birthday pencil from the principal.

We have had another great week!! Thank you for your support of our Back to School Bash last Friday.  The kids have been talking about dunking me all week long.  It was a lot of fun and it was great to see the support of our FAMILY.  We started Monday with praise chapel and chapel today!!  I love to hear our students sing and lift up their praises to God.  We were blessed to have Mr. Tidwell come to speak to us today.  He taught us about using our VOICE to share God’s word.  Book buddies have started and the little ones love having an older student around to be their friend and read to them.  I have had the chance to read to the Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes in their rooms.  We read some really great stories and everyone had a good time.  I look forward to visiting the other classrooms in the next few weeks and read to them as well.  Thank you for a great start to the year!!!  See reminders below pictures!!

Earning free Ca$h for Ezell Harding is as simple as....                                                                                                                                        clip, clip, clip!

 

 

Once you start looking, you’ll see these pink coupons everywhere.  Each

Box Top is worth 10 cents for our school!  This year, we’ll have monthly

turn in days, with a goal of 3,500 Box Tops collected per month.  Last year we

 

raised $2,395.70 and we were able to purchase 2 Elmo's (technology in the

 

classroom).

 

The first turn in day is Friday, Aug. 30.

Thursday Updates

Tomorrow will be our first turn in date for Behavior Bucks.  They will be able to cash in with their classroom teachers or from Mr. Riley.  They also have a chance to save up their bucks and get a bigger prize from Coach Riley.  I announced these after chapel this morning and they went crazy in a good way!!  These are the rewards I offered to them:

$5.00- Pick a prize from Mr. Riley's Treasure Box
$30.00- Lunch with a friend in cafeteria at a private table
$50.00- One Free Homework pass
$75.00- One Extra Day of Jeans and Ezell shirt
$100.00- Lunch with the principal

Great First Week!!!

We have had a great first week!!  We hope all students are finding their way and adjusting to the new year.  I will be posting on the blog on Thursday's, but will put things up from time to time.  So keep checking out the blog.  I have attached some of the grade level blogs to the site. They can be found on the top of the blog page.  Make sure you check them out!!

Reminders:

Back to school Bash has been canceled for today.  It will be next Friday, August 16 from 5:00-7:00.  Coach Riley will be in the dunk tank.  I have mentioned it to the students and challenged them to see who can put me in the water!!  Parents can come out and take a toss as well.  Haha!  Please come out and support our school.  It will be great fun for all!!

Today is the kick-off for our fundraiser of Smart Cards, City Passes and Magazines.  Please sell, sell, sell!!

Collect Box Tops and bring in to your teachers!!

First Day News!!!

We are in the swing of things!!  What a great first day of school.  The children were excited and ready to meet their new teachers.  The teachers were excited and it is going to be a wonderful year.  Thank you for coming to the luau.  There will be pics available at some point from the first day.  We will try to post pics on blog when we receive permission from each child's parents, which you should have received yesterday during the parent/teacher meetings.  I can't wait to see what God's plan for all of us will be this year.

Just a few reminders:

• Family Chapel Thursday @ 10:00 (Everyone is invited to attend in H.S. Gym)
• Back to School Bash- Friday 5:00-7:00 (Please come out for games, and many more activities.) Spirit Trailer will be available at the Back to School Bash!!
• Friday Dress- jeans and Ezell t-shirt or uniform polo with jeans (See above about spirit trailer)
• Car Tags- If you need more please tell your teachers.

• Arrival in mornings- Please drop off students between the elementary crosswalk and the middle school crosswalk.  There will be a teacher at the middle school crosswalk and a teacher at the elementary crosswalk.  Cars will stop at elementary crosswalk, when all cars are stopped students may exit the car.  The middle lane is the safe zone for students where they can wait to go to the sidewalk.  When you drop off between this area, it will speed up the process in the morning.  Please have the students ready to get out of the car when traffic is stopped. If you choose to come in and get your child you will need to park in the lower parking lot and walk up to the building.  Please have children walk to crosswalk where the teachers are standing to get to the sidewalk, the middle lane is there so they can get to the crosswalk without going between cars. Procedures are the same for afternoon dismissal.  Please do not park in the drop off lanes and walk child in building.
