Christmas Time!!

I can't believe that it is Christmas.  It seems that we just started our first day of school.  I hope that each and everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday.  I know many will be traveling in and out of town visiting family and friends and I wanted to say thank you for making Ezell Harding part of your family as well.  We are looking forward to a great second half of the year!

Next week's schedule will be
Monday- Full Day
Tue.- Fri.- 1/2 Days dismissal at 11:00
Friday will be our pajama day!  Students may wear their favorite pajamas to school as we watch a movie together.

Please come to our Fine Arts Academy Play tonight or tomorrow night here in the high school gym at 7:00.  These students have been working very hard and would love all of the support from the school.

Christmas is almost here!!

Thank you students and parents for your support of our canned food drive.  We reached our goal of 900 and our goal of 1,000.  Our grand total of 1,638 cans and we could have more by the end of the day.  There will be many families that will have a Merry Christmas due to your support and kindness.

Next week the students may wear jeans and Ezell-Harding t-shirts, Monday-Friday.  They will be rewarded again on one of the half days with their extra prize.

Reminder tonight is the Family Movie Night.  Movie starts at 6:00 in the middle school gym.  The book fair will be open today for a pre-sale from 4:00-5:30.

Book Fair Next Week

Popcorn and drinks will be provided at the movie. Don't forget to bring your blankets.  So come out and enjoy a free movie night with your family.

Come join us next Friday and Saturday at 7:00 in the High School gym for our Fine Arts Academy Play "The Grinch"

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Clearly I do not get enough opportunities to personally say "Thank You" even though I am thankful every day.  Yet at this special time, I want to personally express my appreciation for placing your confidence in me and our teachers at EHCS.  Wishing you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving.  There are a few pictures of our Thanksgiving meals and activities at the bottom of the blog.  There are several big events happening when we get back from Thanksgiving Break.  See the information below.

Family Movie Night

As you know, our Book Fair will begin on Monday, December 7th which is a couple of weeks from now.  It will kick off Friday, December 4th with the movie night.
Each year there is a competition of which class or grade can raise the most money to help by books for children who do not have enough money to buy them.  When we come back from Thanksgiving Break, there will be jars on Mrs. Burton's checkout desk for you to put your money in.  The class or grade with the most money in the jar at the end of the Book Fair will get to SLIME me!!

Pumpkin Patch

We have had an amazing Reading Week!!  We have had several guests come and read to our classrooms.  The Cat in the Hat stopped by to visit the classes one day this week.  Thank you for taking time out of your day to come read to your child's classroom.  The pumpkin patch looks amazing!  The students worked very hard on there pumpkins decorated as their favorite book character.  They will be judged tomorrow morning by some of our high school teachers. See pictures below

We also had a visit from R. Friend.  She did a wonderful job today telling her stories about her books she has written.  The students were very involved as well as the teachers.  They had a lot of fun!  You may purchase orders thru Tuesday of next week.  You may find the forms in the office or from the Eagle News last week as an attachment.  You may also see pictures below.
