What an exciting week!

If you have not heard, a former student that graduated here a few years ago, who is also recently married, needs your prayers.  Her husband suffered a severe head injury in an ATV accident.  There have been thousands and thousands of prayers being lifted up.  I ask you to pray for this family as they go through this difficult time.  Her mother was a teacher in the high school for many years, so this family has strong ties to Ezell Harding Christian School.

Join us tomorrow night for our first home football game.  It will be a lot of fun with great food, football and fellowship.  102.5 will be hosting their 3:00-6:00 program LIVE from Ezell Harding's campus.  Our Little Eagles (who went to cheer camp this summer) will be cheering tomorrow night as well.  If the students find Coach Riley before halftime of the game they will receive a prize.  They will have to try to find me, I could be in disguise, but don't tell them!! Haha!!

Tomorrow morning the SPIRIT TRAILER WILL BE OPEN!!  The cheerleaders will be selling DOUGHNUTS and SPIRIT TATTOOS in the Eagles Nest.

Picture Day will be August 31st- (students will be in regular school uniforms)

Labor Day- September 7th- NO SCHOOL
September 8th- OPEN HOUSE (5:00-7:00)

Conference Dates have been changed. We will be having one day for conferences September 24th from 3:00-7:00.  You will be receiving sign up times from your teacher at a later date.  The Friday of September 25th will be a regular school day.

Great 1st Full Week!!

What a great 1st week of school!  Thank you for working with us this week as we have been training our students on our dismissal procedures.  Yesterday was the first day we dismissed all students at 2:45 and it went very smoothly.

Next week the K-4th grade students will be participating in a morning program.  The program is called the NED show.  You should have received a form yesterday about the program.  The students will be allowed the following week to purchase yoyo's, which goes towards the funding of the next school.  It is a pay it forward type deal.  The program is about CHARACTER EDUCATION.  We are happy that they are coming.

You will be receiving you City Saver Packet today.  This is our first fundraiser for the year.  We cannot do it without your help.  The kids are excited about the prizes and are eager to sell for our school.  You can see one of the prizes in the picture below.  Go out and SELL, SELL, SELL.

Reminders: Next Friday First High School Football Game, August 21 @ MTCS at 7:00
First Home Football Game August 28 @ Ezell Harding at 7:00

We will be honoring on Friday afternoons, the class of the week from Spanish, Computer, Library, P.E., Music, and Cafeteria.  The class will be honored by their class name on the wall of the Eagles Nest.  It will be setup as soon as we take down our camping theme gear from the first day of school.

We have also implemented at the end of our school day or during a break during the day to take care of our school. We want to instill a sense of taking pride in our school and by doing things such as picking up trash, cleaning rooms, cleaning cafeteria, etc.  We want them to learn by doing these types of activities, which teaches them to be servants of Christ.

A Great Start to our Year!

It was a great 1st day of school at Camp Ezell. As students entered the Camp, they were greeted with a smile and a bag full of s'mores.  They took their first day of school pictures at the campsite.  It was a lot of fun seeing the teachers wearing their camp staff shirts and the students thought it was neat hearing all of the animal noises coming from the campground.

Please make sure you have turned in all forms to your classroom teacher.  We will be checking for car tags tomorrow.  If you do not have your tag you will be asked to come into the office to sign your child out.  We are off to a great start to our school year!

Don't forget to join us on Thursday for our family chapel at 10:00 in the High School Gym!

My blog will be updated on Thursday's, so be looking for an email with an attachment or you may register to follow my blog.  You can access teachers blogs, cafeteria, parents web, Tucker Photography, etc. from my blog.
