Christmas Time!!

Christmas is almost here!!  I would like to send out a few reminders for next week.  Your teachers will also be communicating with you regarding classroom events.

Reminders:

Next Week Dress
Monday-Thursday- Jeans and an Ezell-Harding or Christmas shirt
Friday- Pajama Day

Next Week School Hours
Monday- Full Day
Tuesday-Friday- 1/2 Days (dismissal at 11:00)extended care provided (children going to extended care MUST bring a lunch)




Tomorrow- Junie B Jones-Jingle Bells Batman Smells will be showing tomorrow night at 7:00 in the high school gym.  Please come out and support our Fine Arts Academy!

Friday Pictures

Here are a few pictures of the activities of today!  We had students decorate the trees in the Eagles Nest, we had a magician come to visit, and some students went on a field trip.  Our Book Fair starts Monday, they make great Christmas gifts.



THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT WITH THE CANNED FOOD DRIVE.  WE WERE ABLE TO REACH OUR GOAL.  WE HAVE 1,596 CANNED ITEMS.  THIS IS AWESOME!!!  THANK YOU SO MUCH.  THIS WILL HELP MANY FAMILIES.

Welcome Back

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break spending time with friends and family.  It is hard to believe that we are just a couple of weeks away from Christmas Break!  What a great job our Fine Arts students did on Tuesday night at their recital.  They did a great job and I am very proud of all of our students.



Please bring in canned food items tomorrow.  As of right now we have 732 cans and our goal is 1,000.  If we reach our goal the students will help families in need of food for the holidays. The students will also earn the chance to wear jeans and an Ezell-Harding/Christmas shirt the week of December 8-12th.

Reminders: As the winter months approach us, I want to remind everyone about our dress code. Please check the student handbook on the website for other information. You will find the student handbook located under about us: presidents welcome; and it is located on the left side of the page.

Long sleeve shirts that are worn underneath uniform shirts must be solid black, white or gray.
Socks and leggings must be solid black, white or gray.

Approved shoes must be predominantly black, white, gray, brown or crimson.

OUTERWEAR:
• Only approved outerwear may be worn during the school day. This includes the gray or black fleece, the light-weight black wind breaker and other approved EHCS sports team outerwear. These items may be purchased from the Ezell-Harding Spirit Trailer.
• Other outerwear may be worn to school but not worn during the school day with the exception of when students must be outside.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Christmas will be just around the corner.

We will be collecting canned items for New Heights Christian Community Services.  Mrs. Jones's husband, Marc Jones, is the director at New Heights.  We will be collecting items the week of December 1st-5th.  Students will bring the items to their classroom teachers to be counted.  Our goal is 1,000 canned items.  If we reach our goal the students will be able to wear jeans and an Ezell-Harding or Christmas shirt for the entire week of December 8-12.  So start saving up those cans!!!

Thanksgiving is almost here!!

There is not a lot of news this week!  However, I would like to update you on some upcoming events.  First, it is hard to believe that it is almost Thanksgiving.  Second, Christmas will be here before you know it.

Great Week!!

What a wonderful week we have had!  Thank you to all those who participated in Lightning's Reading Club.  You will be receiving a packet tomorrow from MTSU in your child's backpack.  So be looking for your packet with the ballgame ticket.  Thank you again for supporting this event.

Pumpkin Patch

All of the pumpkins look great!  The students did a wonderful job decorating their favorite book characters.  Don't forget about Lightning's Reading Club.  Please continue to read with your children and you will turn the form in on November 5th.  Thank you parents for all of your support this month with all of the activities with reading.  See below for some pictures from our pumpkin patch.


  • Last football game is tonight @ Friendship Christian.



  • Tomorrow students may wear a Halloween/fall shirt and blue jeans or an Ezell-Harding shirt and blue jeans.  No Halloween costumes, masks, paint, etc.




  • Open House will be on November 9th from 2:00-4:00.  Please invite your friends to come visit our wonderful school and tell them the many exciting things that are happening.  They can find us on Facebook as well.  



  • No School on November 10th.  No extended care.

Exciting Times

I am looking forward to next week as we create our favorite book characters using pumpkins.  Make sure you tell your teacher what book and book character you have chosen.  We will be having a pumpkin patch in the Eagle's Nest.  You may start bringing the pumpkins in on Monday.  They will be judged on Friday of next week.  See the flyer below.

The play Our Town will be this Friday and Saturday at 7:00 at Lakeshore Christian and the price will be $5.00 at the door.  Come out and support the high school and middle school students.  See the flyer below about Our Town.


Prospective Families Open House will be on Sunday, November 9th from 2:00-4:00.  Please go out and tell families about our wonderful school and all the exciting things that are happening.

Halloween Shirts may be worn on Friday, October 31st with blue jeans.  NO COSTUMES! You may also wear blue jeans and an Ezell-Harding t-shirt.
